Enterprise Heights
Philadelphia, PA
The area surrounding the 46th Street SEPTA station in West Philadelphia offers a unique opportunity to connect transit access, economic development, and community investment. Recognizing this potential, The Enterprise Center sought to explore a mixed-use development that could serve as a destination for both neighborhood residents and the broader business community. O Z Collaborative developed the conceptual design for Enterprise Heights Plaza, a proposed 100,000-square-foot office and retail building strategically located near major transit infrastructure and institutional investment within the corridor. The transit-oriented development concept centers on a public plaza and marketplace designed to support local food vendors, small businesses, and community activity. These spaces were envisioned as active public amenities that strengthen neighborhood connections while creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and economic growth.
Above the marketplace, the proposal includes three levels of office space designed to support a range of commercial and organizational tenants. The building combines employment opportunities, retail activity, and public gathering space within a single integrated development. The site design incorporates landscaped open spaces, outdoor seating areas, and daylighting strategies that enhance the pedestrian experience and create a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants alike. Enterprise Heights Plaza illustrates how transit-oriented development can serve as a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization by bringing together commerce, community resources, and public space within a highly accessible urban location.
