Equal Measure Offices
Equal Measure
Philadelphia, PA
Equal Measure sought a new office environment to support its evolving workplace culture and better reflect its mission as a consulting firm serving nonprofit organizations. The relocation process began with the evaluation of multiple sites across Center City to identify a space that could support flexibility, collaboration, and long-term adaptability. O Z Collaborative led workplace strategy, design, and FF&E planning, conducting test fits and programming sessions to understand how staff use space. Analysis revealed an opportunity to shift away from a predominantly private office model toward a more flexible layout.
The selected 5,700-square-foot office at 520 Walnut Street integrates private offices, open workstations, informal nooks, and meeting rooms of varying sizes. This arrangement supports both focused work and collaboration while accommodating hybrid work patterns. Natural light and open interior views were emphasized to create a connected environment. Custom furnishings, developed with local vendors, reinforce the firm’s identity and support functional needs. The renovation included upgrades to partitions, finishes, ceilings, and building systems, including reconfigured mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The project creates a flexible and adaptable workplace aligned with Equal Measure’s culture and operational needs.
