Oona Ashraf

Architecture Intern

Oona Ashraf is an Architectural Designer at O Z Collaborative and a graduate of Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Writing. Her background spans nonprofit, academic, and professional settings, where she has contributed to design development, technical documentation, material studies, and publication work. Oona has supported early-stage projects in Revit, produced award submission materials, translated archival drawings for publication, and developed structured workflows to strengthen team coordination, building a well-rounded foundation in the full arc of architectural practice.

She approaches design as both a cultural and spatial practice, grounded in craft, clarity, and community impact. Oona has a particular gift for building narrative through drawing, developing design intent through careful iteration, visualization, and the exploration of multiple possibilities at each stage.

Outside the office, Oona can often be found sketchbook in hand, drawing wherever she goes, especially while traveling. She is also an avid embroiderer and model maker with a deep love for hands-on craft in all its forms. This instinct for making, whether translating an idea into a carefully stitched pattern or a physical model, reflects the same attention to craft and intention she brings to her design practice.
