3675 Market St
Wexford Science + Technology
Philadelphia, PA
The University City Science Center expanded its campus to meet growing demand for research, laboratory, and office space while strengthening connections to the surrounding neighborhood. The development at 3675 Market Street introduces a new mixed-use building that supports innovation and public engagement. Wexford Science and Technology led the project in collaboration with ZGF Architects as lead designer. O Z Collaborative supported the design and development of the 15-story, 355,700-square-foot building, contributing to key building systems and technical coordination. The project includes office, laboratory, and maker spaces designed for technology and biotech companies, along with ground-floor retail and a public plaza that enhances pedestrian activity.
The development extends the Science Center campus westward and improves its integration with University City. O Z Collaborative was responsible for the design and documentation of core building components, including restrooms, stair towers, and the loading dock, as well as code analysis and review. The team also led LEED Gold documentation and certification. The building supports flexible tenant use while incorporating sustainable design strategies and high-performance systems. The project strengthens the Science Center’s role as a center for innovation while contributing to a more active and connected urban environment.
