O Z Collaborative worked closely with the School District of Philadelphia for this 5,500 square foot renovation created a culinary arts suite, including a food lab, restaurant, theory/classroom, demonstration lab and storage area. The layout provided ample space for students to aggregate at different teaching stations and to allow efficient workflow for a full-service kitchen.

The design re-utilized existing kitchen equipment in the School District inventory whenever possible and included building systems connections to serve commercial kitchen equipment, including a double-deck oven, range, griddle, walk-in refrigerator and dishwasher.
